Richard discusses some fascinating UFO history, referencing the work of the early Brazilian UFO researcher Dr. Olavo Fontes. In early 1958, Fontes described a meeting he had with members of Brazil’s Naval Intelligence in which they told him they knew of six instances when UFOs had been recovered by the world’s militaries. This is a forgotten piece of historical testimony. Richard also discusses two key investigations Fontes was doing at that time: the famous explosion of the “Ubatuba UFO” and the severe burning of two Brazilian soldiers at Fort Itaipu, both of which occurred in the later part of 1957.
